City Centre Cider Guide

Peterborough may not seem like a hub for cider and, but if you know where to look you can find some great examples of this wonderful beverage made from apples or pears.

We've done that looking for you and created this handy guide to let you know where to find and enjoy real cider.

Bumble Inn

Small, intimate and relaxed micropub close to the main bus station, with a very limited outside seating area. Well stocked with ciders.

Ciders you can expect to find:
Green Fen Cider with other changing ciders.

The Ostrich Inn

Vibrant pub and a busy music venue Thursday to Sunday with a small, sheltered outside garden.

Ciders you can expect to find:
Thundering Molly, Seacider, various flavoured ciders and alcohol free ciders.

Blind Tiger

Chill out place during the day, vibrant bar at night with a large function room downstairs for private events and parties.

Ciders you can expect to find:
Snails Bank & Farmer Jims as well as a range of craft keg.

Stoneworks

With possibly the best air-conditioning in the city, this sunken bar is a much sought after cool refuge for those in the know. Serving ciders both on draught and in cans and bottles in the fridge.

Ciders you can expect to find:
Kicking Goat and guest ciders.

Bottle & Board

A little gem of a bar located off the beaten track in the city centre. This small bar with a small pavement seating area sells its ciders predominately in cans and bottles.

Ciders you can expect to find:
Dunkerton’s and Hogans as well as flavoured ciders.

Charters

Barge on the River Nene with a well stocked bar. A range of up to eight ciders served direct from the cellar and the biggest beer garden in the city in which to enjoy them in with regular live music, or the cooled bar for a bit of peace.

Celtic Marshes, Stanford Orchards, Stan’s Traditional plus an array of flavoured ciders.
