- North Nottinghamshire Joint Social
Saturday 4 October 2025
A venue, but not a pub
The North Nottingham North Nottinghamshire CAMRA Branch extend an invitation to our members to a joint social gathering.
It will be held in Retford, Nottinghamshire on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, coinciding with the "Beer Under the Clock" 3rd Beer Festival. The festival offers 20 cask ales, and it's a great chance to meet members from other branches.
By train, the journey from Peterborough to Retford takes just over 45 minutes and is on a direct route without the need to change trains. It's about a 15-minute walk from Retford station to the town centre.
Propose to catch the 1001 train from Peterborough arriving at Retford at 1048 hours. On the return propose to return on 2102 train back to Peterborough which arrives at 2150 hours. There is also a direct train that leaves Retford at 1839 hours for the purpose of booking advance tickets.
There's also a traditional market on Saturdays outside the Bassetlaw Council offices, just a less that one minute from the beer festival on the town square.
Other local pubs in the area serving cask ales whilst we are there include:-
- The Black Boy: 14 Moorgate, Retford, DN22 6RH. https://camra.org.uk/pubs/166923
