Minuting Secretary

The Minuting Secretary is a vital and yet often unseen role in any CAMRA branch, attending all the meetings and making notes on what was said by whom, getting these out to all members in a timely fashion, and then getting any alterations or changes needed at the next meeting. Without this role there would be no accurate record of what we do as a branch.
A CAMRA member since 1981, his first pint of real ale was GK Abbot in the student’s union bar at the University of East Anglia. Here he qualified in Environmental Chemistry, which was the ideal platform for a 40 year (and still counting) career in accountancy. Most of this time was spent with Thomas Cook, because like so many people, he relocated to Peterborough with them, being a Man of Kent at heart. Married with 4 children and 3 grandsons he also somehow also find time to keep an allotment and an Arsenal season ticket.
